Large Robert Fritz Ceramic Vessel

Seldom seen ceramic vessel by Dr. Robert Fritz. Fritz is known more for his work in studio art glass. He was one of the pioneers of the American studio glass movement. He founded the first glass program taught at an University in the early 1960's at San Jose State. His work is held in many public and private collections. This piece has deep grooves pressed and carved into the surface. This has a matte glaze with portions of the clay body showing through.
